PHOTO TRADE
Today I received a package from Dan Wood. Dan is an amazing street photographer based out of Wales. A few of his influences are Josef Koudelka, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, which are a few street photographers that do this modern style of street photography. I met Dan through email and we traded up a few pics. Here are four photos I received from Dan.
Check out Dans website http://www.danwoodphotography.co.uk/ awesome stuff.

My Dad
May 9 Duck Mountains
I just thought I'd share this pic of my Dad I took when I spent the day at Duck Mountains. My dad owns a bunch of land out there and has a cabin, so its a good place to get away from Winnipeg.

The Gorgon/Pride Tiger/C'mon
May 13 LIVE @ THE ROYAL ALBERT ARMS
Here are the photos I promised from the other day in order as shot, since the drummers in the first two bands had their drums set up close to the front of the stage, I thought I'd shoot only the drummers, these shots work out well for Pride Tiger since Matt Wood is the front man on the drums. as far as the Blurtonia pics still no luck. I'll keep trying to find them, until then enjoy these shots.

IAN BLURTON
May 13 LIVE @ THE ROYAL ALBERT ARMS
Pride Tiger vs. C'mon w/The Gorgon But: A few hours before C'MON hits the stage Randy and I got the chance to meet Ian Blurton of C'MON. The first time I saw Ian was back in Sept. 2002 when Blurtonia played the Pyramid. Seven years later Ian hasn't changed one bit, grungy clothes with a long scruffy beard like it was yesterday. Today I tried to find those pics from the pyramid show to post them up. Unfortunately no luck. I do have them somewhere. I'll try to post them in the next few days. As far as the rest of the show photos I'll be posting those up later today or early tomorrow..
contact sheet sample from the Ian Blurton Interview,..

THE UNWANTED @ The Albert April 18
Here's a few shots I thought I'd share. You know that roll of film you kinda forget about cause you're busy working on other prints? Well this was one of the rolls of film left behind as usual. Anyways, the last two pics are my favorite just cause I don't really do this style of photography that much anymore. I used to do it a lot back in the day... Credit of that band style photography goes to http://www.camnikkel.com/ . The first two photos are shot with 1600iso film pushed to 3200iso shot with my 50mm 1.4.

Harry Wall
Last Sunday I had the opportunity to do a shoot with Harry, who trains at the Winnipeg school of contemporary dancers. He needed some head shots for his upcoming dance show at the gas station theatre may 24. Funny thing I had no film and worst thing possible its a Sunday, nothing is open. I totally almost forgot about this shoot. I check my cameras, in my Nikon F5 I had about 15 shots and in my Nikon F4-s I had 16 shots,.. lol I knew that would be more then enough and thankfully it was. Here are a few shots.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
