2009 and feeling fine!

its been a while once again since i posted and a little late on happy new years! as the saying goes 2009 and feeling fine, or that was the saying new years night at the Albert,.

DEC24/08 my trip to dauphin to visit my parents started rad but unfortunately for me and carol 10 miles away from neepawa and 2 hours from dauphin yet, my truck breaks down,....good news Cory left the same time we did so jumped into his car and everything else was good.

DEC25/08 Xmas was spent the whole day with my dad on the highway trying to fix my truck, ended up getting it going after 9hours or blah blah blah.. don't get me wrong it was awesome to kick it with my dad in -35 weather outside with lots of coffee and pepperoni sticks .


DEC31/08 new years! kick it off with randy, chilled at the Albert. all in all a good night.

minus 40 helpin a friend move

yesterday helped randy move, minus 40 with wind chill, i hate Winnipeg winters. cold hands cold feet, think I'll start doubling up my socks now, get rid of the old man socks with holes and flat pancake SK8 shoes that i had since the summer. here is a photo of what randy had to leave behind during his move, due to cold weather and and well Mo(his cat) ripped up his only couches. so we just threw out back. everyone help yourselves!

p.s randy i want my my pumkin scone.

Ex-girlfriends show DEC5/08 was kinda different, lack of anyone in the bands knowing whos playing with who and how to start a show. here's a photo just before the show, i like this photo the most. i only took a few shots that night with the F5,. i still haven't done anything with the images from the D700 yet. i well get to that soon. hopefully this week

Nikon D700 vs Nikon F5

yesterday picked up the d700 for trial and error. good friend christian love at Don's photo who hooked me up with the Nikon rep, guess the Nikon rep thought it would be a great idea to have me shoot some low light photography aka live bands rawking out, compare those shots with the f5.

I'll be shooting with the d700 this Friday at the Albert as welll the f5, the ex-girlfriends/77 guns/ the clap, I'll be comparing the low light w/ the d700 at hi ISO compared to the f5 w/ my 12500 ISO film. noise vs grain. ill post some pics up in the next few for comparison.

long time

so, its been awhile since i wrote anything or even made a post. I've haven't shot any shows lately, last show i shot was Nov 15/08 sweet nothings and sub city dwellers.

also work in progress im shooting stills for the Albert doc, with good friend randy.

sorry for the delay,. I've been sick for the last few days. actually its been an on going cold for weeks. didn't have the feeling,. to print photos and developed film.

Saturday night @ the Albert had the chance to shoot attack in black and show closer,. ladyhawk.

attack in black(Spencer Burton) seemed a little outta his mind during the set while struggling with a none ready set list. and forgetting a few lines. all in all great show.
as far as ladyhawk,... first time I've seen these guys live,. personally i think they tore it up!
